The residential and commercial painting brand was ranked among the industry’s elite in the publication’s annual Franchise 500 list.
Consumer demand for quality home services is at an all-time high—the $31 billion industry is growing at a rapid rate. And for the past decade, Fresh Coat—the nation’s leading residential and commercial painting franchise—has been growing right along with it.
With more than 120 locations across the country, Fresh Coat has positioned itself as a franchise brand to beat. Backed by its bonded and insured painters, rising average unit volumes and easy-to-follow business model, Fresh Coat is capturing the attention of both consumers and business owners. And the franchising industry is taking note—Fresh Coat took the 469th spot on Entrepreneur’s coveted 2017 Franchise 500 list.
Making the publication’s annual franchise ranking is no small feat. The Franchise 500 list has provided the industry with its most comprehensive ranking for the past 38 years. It’s designed to be used as a top competitive tool of measurement for both franchisors and prospective franchisees. Fresh Coat earned its spot on this year’s list by receiving high marks on five key factors: costs and fees, size and growth, support, brand strength and financial strength and stability. Brands are then given a cumulative score based on more than 150 points, and the 500 franchises with the highest scores make the list.
“We couldn’t be more excited or honored to be included in Entrepreneur’s esteemed ranking of the top 500 franchises. This goes to show that our team’s consistent hard work is paying off,” said Tara Riley, president of Fresh Coat. “As we head into the rest of 2017, our goal is to continue building on this strong momentum. There’s no better way to kick off the new year, and we plan to capitalize on this amazing opportunity for development.”
Throughout 2017, Fresh Coat plans to continue its tradition of improving on its already recognized franchise system. The brand’s corporate team is constantly looking for ways to support its local owners while also opening the door for new franchisees to enter its system. Fresh Coat offers those new owners an affordable business ownership opportunity—franchisees who sign on to develop and grow with the brand can expect their start-up costs to fall between $53,850 and $81,750.
“Our main goal is to make business ownership as attainable as possible. We’ve proven that our model works time and again all over the country, and our Entrepreneur ranking takes that validation to the next level,” said Nathan Millhouse, vice president of operations for Fresh Coat. “We’re anticipating record growth in 2017, and we’re looking forward to growing the Fresh Coat brand with the help of both new and existing franchisees.”
