Fred Harrison, Local Entrepreneur, Launches Fresh Coat Painters in Cincinnati

When Fred Harrison started working with the Fresh Coat Painters team three years ago, he was excited to be helping local franchisees build successful businesses. While helping dozens of new Fresh Coat owners, Harrison caught the franchise fever. He realized that by following the detailed process, he can create a great business that is focused on serving the community. Now he’s launching his own Fresh Coat franchise – Fresh Coat of Anderson on the east side of Cincinnati.

Fresh Coat offers residential and commercial painting services including interior or exterior painting, wood staining, and other services for nearly every protective coating application. They have a 24/7 receptionist, online scheduling, free detailed quotes, and they only use high-quality materials. “During my time with Fresh Coat, I developed a deep understanding of the customers and how I can change the painting industry. I have a young son and as I was thinking about the future of our family, I realized that I was ready to start my own company. I knew Fresh Coat would be a perfect fit. Harrison started in management at the Kroger Company where he learned to implement and follow a customer-first strategy. After six years, he jumped at the opportunity to work for Strategic Franchising Systems, the parent company of Fresh Coat. Fred started with The Growth Coach, but soon moved to Fresh Coat to work as a business coach for franchisees.

“During my three years with Strategic, I fell in love with the Fresh Coat company and the brand. Fresh Coat gives a personal touch to the painting industry and we care about our customers and their homes. We aren’t in this for a one time job. We want people to refer us to their friends and families and to call us again next time they need painting done. This impacts how we do business and how we treat our customers.” Harrison said.
